Don’t want to install anything? Run GridCraft in your browser. It is the same app, compiled to WebAssembly. Choose the desktop app for AutoSave to a file, printing through the system dialog, Export as CSV and as a web page, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai and Hebrew text in your system fonts, and agent control over MCP.

Windows

Installers and executables are code-signed. The MSI installer offers an optional desktop shortcut; the portable zip runs from any folder.

The AppImage runs on most distributions and can update itself with AppImageUpdate; the Flatpak is sandboxed (flatpak install --user <file>).

Verify your download

Each release publishes a SHA256SUMS.txt file. Compare it with the checksum of your file, for example shasum -a 256 gridcraft-0.5.0-macos-universal.dmg on macOS or Get-FileHash in PowerShell.

Build from source

If the app doesn’t open on Windows

The Windows app starts with DirectX 12 only. If it flashes in Task Manager and quits, try another graphics backend from PowerShell in the app’s folder: $env:WGPU_BACKEND = "vulkan"; & .\gridcraft.exe. The GridCraft README explains why and how to reset it.
